“Mockingjay Part 1” (2014)
Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 1 begins shortly after the end of Catching Fire, with Katniss Everdeen still recovering from the end of the Quaternary Massacre when she was rescued by the rebellion leaders headed by the District President 13 Alma Coin and Plutarch Heavensbee and now she has to be the symbol of rebellion, the Thrush. It also has the presence of the dreaded President Snow ordering a severe retaliation against supporters of the rebellion.
In this work, Gale Hawthorne gain a greater emphasis than in the first film, as Peeta is under the rule of capital, and shows what really is the best friend of Katniss.
In this film, no more games, no more fights in the arena or televised programs. There is only resistance, and Katniss curiously wants to fight using the same enemy weapon: the media. The battle between oppressive government and then rebellion becomes essentially a propaganda battle. Katniss convinces the people to rebel, while a Peeta increasingly strange starts to appear on television asking his beloved to stop the fight.
The first part of Mockingjay came as a sweeping wave of special effects, fidelity to the book, impeccable production and especially excitement from start to finish. We can attribute this to the history of film itself, which because it is the last book of the trilogy, comes with a hint of drama, anticipation for the outcome of the story and sense of advance nostalgia.

“Mockingjay Part 2” (2015)
Still recovering from the shock of seeing Peeta against her , Katniss is sent to the District 2 by President Coin. There she helps to convince the locals to rebel against the Capital . With all united districts , begins the decisive attack against President Snow. But Katniss has her own plans for combat and, to carry them out , she needs help from your friends and Peeta himself, sent to compose your team. They risk their lives on a mission to assassinate the dictator, who becomes increasingly obsessed with Katniss end .
With Mockingjay : Part 2 , the franchise definitely leaves its mark on pop culture , escaping comparisons. Icon of a generation , Katniss concludes her hero’s journey without rapture. The posters were selling a fearless figure, but the films have established a contradictory protagonist. Driven by stubbornness and maternal instinct , she accidentally inspired an oppressed people to challenge the powerful President Snow. Disinterested in issues beyond their survival and their loved ones , though, she has become a piece of manipulation. In the hands of Alma Coin and Plutarch , Katniss left herself turn into a propaganda article.
Katniss doesn’t want to take the revolution that is taking place around her, the same time she feels responsible for every life lost along the way. Her strength finally reappears when she decides she needs to exterminate the cause of all evil with her own hands. It is an attitude that is born again from the confrontation with the pain of others : Peeta , tortured by Snow , and the victims of war.
The Hunger Games series, surely will be missed in the heart of all fans and even those who are not fans . The series presented a new world view , but in fact, if you look well , has many similarities with ours. Always criticizing values of contemporary society of a very unsubtle way , Hunger Games was conquering the audience with its unique plot, of course, with the question of who will get the Kaniss , Peeta or Gale.
And, for the fans, “May the odds be ever in your favor”.
