ABSTRACT
This study aims to analyze the documentary Master Building, Eduardo Coutinho, produced in the year of 2002, in order to understand the methods used in the interviews and their role in the construction of the narrative of this work. The methodology used is content analysis, which seeks to detail the search object to rebuild it based on hypothesis of this work. This monographic work aims to show the importance of the interview in the construction of a documentary, and consequently the value of this to the professionals who use them. The study is divided into two parts: the first is an approach to the documentary film, its history, concepts and specifics. The second consists in the analysis of the documentary Master Building. Through this analysis, we realized the filmmaker searching for good storytellers, not necessarily the filming of truth.
