RESUMO

A Área de Proteção Ambiental (APA) do Alto do Mucuri, situada nos municípios de Ladainha, Caraí, Catuji, Itaipé, Novo Cruzeiro, Malacacheta, Poté e Teófilo Otoni, compreende uma área de 325.148,883 hectares. Nesta unidade de conservação (UC) de uso sustentável prevalece o Bioma Mata Atlântica. Este Bioma é considerado como hotspot mundial, pois apesar de apresentar uma rica biodiversidade, encontra-se ameaçado de extinção. Dados da Fundação SOS Mata Atlântica, apontam que restam aproximadamente 12,5% do bioma original em todo o território brasileiro. O objetivo do trabalho foi avaliar a eficiência da APA do Alto do Mucuri na conservação do Bioma Mata Atlântica no Município de Ladainha - MG. O Município de estudo encontra-se totalmente inserido na unidade de conservação e no Bioma Mata Atlântica. Verificar a eficiência da UC na conservação dos remanescentes florestais representa um avanço na busca de uma melhor gestão da APA do Alto do Mucuri. Através do delineamento de imagens de satélites, dos anos 2012 e 2015, no software ArcGis® 10.1 (ArcMap™ 10), registrado sob nº ID: 7401346465, foi possível identificar e quantificar os remanescentes florestais existentes no município. Neste trabalho, observou-se um aumento de 26% da cobertura florestal do Bioma Mata Atlântica, do ano de 2015 para 2012. O levantamento realizado considerou áreas de remanescentes florestais iguais ou superiores a 1 ha. Pode-se concluir pelos dados levantados que a APA do Alto do Mucuri está sendo eficiente na conservação do Bioma Mata Atlântica no Município de Ladainha- MG.

ABSTRACT

The Environmental Protection Area (APA) of High of Mucuri, located in the counties Ladainha, Caraí, Catuji, Itaipé, Novo Cruzeiro, Malacacheta, Poté e Teófilo Otoni have an area of 325.148,883 hectares. In this Conservation Unit (CU) of the sustainable use prevails the Atlantic Forest Biome. This Biome is considered to be the World's hotspot, because even though it presents a rich biodiversity, it's threatened with extinction. Data from the institution SOS Atlantic Forest, show that there are only approximately 12,5% of the original Biome of all Brazilian's territory. The project's objective was to evaluate the efficiency of the APA of High do Mucuri in the conservation of the Biome of the Atlantic Forest in the Municipality of Ladainha-MG. The Municipality of study is fully inserted in the unit of conservation and in the Atlantic Forest Biome. To be able to verify the efficiency of the APA in the conservation of the forest remnants represents an advance in the search for a better management of the APA of High of Mucuri. Through the design of the satellite images from the years 2012 and 2015, in the software ArcGis® 10.1 (ArcMap™ 10), registered by the ID number: 7401346465, was possible to identify and quantify the forests remnants existing in the county. In this work, a 26% increase in the forest's coverage of the Atlantic Forest Biome was observed from the year 2015 to 2012. The survey, considered areas of the forest remnants are equal to or greater than 1 ha. It can be concluded from the data collected that the APA of High of Mucuri is being efficient in the conservation of the Atlantic Forest Biome in the Municipality of Ladainha - MG.
