O presente trabalho cujo tema é “Educação e Cultura: atividades artísticas e culturais no processo pedagógico. Um estudo de caso na Escola de Aplicação da Universidade Federal do Pará (UFPA), através do programa LUAMIM: peças interventivas na realidade” é fruto de minha experiência no LUAMIM e na Escola de Aplicação da UFPA, onde a relação Serviço Social e cultura despertou meu interesse para este estudo. O objetivo desse, é destacar a herança da educação de elite de origem romana, nos processos pedagógicos brasileiro, e nesse contexto busca-se também abordar o conceito de educação e cultura popular, apresentando críticas à concepção elitizada do ensino. Conhecer as atividades de arte e cultura da Escola, através do Programa LUAMIM. Identificar os instrumentais teórico-operativos do assistente social. Identificar as dificuldades adquiridas na execução dessas atividades. O estudo conseguiu alcançar os objetivos, por meio de entrevista semi-estruturada com aplicação de questionário de múltipla escolha, aos assistentes sociais do LUAMIM, amostra simples de três assistentes sociais do Programa e análise e revisão de documentos da Escola, tais: Projeto Político Pedagógico (2011) e do LUAMIM: PROEXT 2014. Livros e artigos que abordam o conceito de educação e cultura popular. Verificamos que apesar das ações artísticas e culturais terem êxito na sociabilidade e outros fatores positivos no comportamento dos alunos, essas atividades não são valorizadas por pais ou responsáveis desses alunos, não temos política pública na educação que insira o profissional de Serviço Social na equipe pedagógica das instituições de ensino e nem as atividades artísticas e culturais no currículo escolar. Já que, “educação de qualidade oportuniza valores culturais, artísticos e históricos no contexto social do alunado”. (NOGUEIRA, 2005)

ABSTRACT

This research on the theme "Education and Culture: arts and cultural activities in the educational process. A case study in the School of Application of the Federal University of Pará (UFPA), through LUAMIM program: interventional parts in reality "is the result of my experience in LUAMIM and the School of Application of UFPA, where the Social Service aroused relationship and culture my interest for this study. We try to highlight the heritage of education of the elite of Roman origin in Brazilian pedagogical processes, and in this context also seeks to address the concept of education and popular culture, presenting criticism of elitist conception of teaching. In order to know the activities of art and culture of the school, through LUAMIM Program. Identify the theoretical and instrumental operating social worker. Identify difficulties in performing these activities acquired. The study was able to achieve the goals, through semi-structured with application of multiple-choice questionnaire, the social workers LUAMIM, simple sample of three social workers and program analysis and document review of the School interview such: Political Pedagogical Project (2011) and LUAMIM: PROEXT 2014 books and articles that discuss the concept of education and popular culture. We found that despite the artistic and cultural actions succeed in sociability and other positive factors in the behavior of students, these activities are not valued by parents or guardians of these students, we do not have public policy in education that the professional social work in the teaching staff of educational institutions nor the artistic and cultural activities in the school curriculum.
