ABSTRACT

The environmental shocks, caused by the destruction of areas that should be preserved not only cause many problems for the environment but also to society. For it to be conserved the environment was necessary to create a specific legislation in order to monitor and maintain the environment. It was then possible to make an assessment on how it was and if the responsible public power properly complied with the law. While in the urban areas were dilating, so grew the need to clear the green areas. The absence of a project occupancy cooperated to poor land use, for the reason that in the country, the majority of cities do not have an urban expansion project, which led most of the time the occupation of sites that need to be preserved, for thinking that they were abandoned. And it has caused great shock to the environment. These areas need to be preserved Conservation Units (UC) have by law a very important role in biodiversity protection strategy. The Urban Environmental Management has the role to preserve and sustain the natural expedients, so getting the social and economic development sustainable. It is also essential for the society to participate effectively, so that there may be a union entity the government and the community, building effective management. Within these conservation units found the Urban Parks (PU) are areas of interest to everyone, with sizes, shapes and different vegetation. Due to rapid urban expansion, the environmental impact caused to the environment directly influence the shape and quality of life in cities, which helped it to create these green areas within urban areas. They play an important role in the environment where they are inserted. They had their signs in the nineteenth century in Europe, in Brazil the primitive parks were focused on social class elite.
