ABSTRACT
The importance of Quality of Life at work for business results is linked to the fact that investment in the human being, particularly in issues of health and well-being, contributes significantly to increasing productivity and achieving competitiveness differentials. This study investigates the Quality of Life at Work (QVT) in the context of a cargo transport company in order to identify the factors of satisfaction / motivation and dissatisfaction factors and / or demotivation considered relevant to better assist leaders in the actions in search of a work environment better and more productive. The satisfaction survey work was carried out, taking into consideration the sample group of employees working in indirect support (office) and staff working directly making transportation (field). The satisfaction survey was conducted through a questionnaire based on the model of Walton (1974) with subjects of questions such as food, salary, hand appreciation of work, interpersonal relations, training, etc., where the employees had to signal the three more questions and score for each subject a value on a scale from 0 (dissatisfied) to 5 (very satisfied) to evaluate each item, creating a percentage for each question and the Employee Satisfaction Index - ISF, arithmetic mean of percentage, which should exceed the target of 85% for the result to be considerable acceptable, that is satisfactory. The study was conducted in May 2015 and it has been found through research that for employees of administrative sector one of the most important issues was the one dealing with the position they hold in the company, which took the 71.05 satisfaction index %, unsatisfactory, since for employees who work on the front lines of services one of the most important issues was the wages of compatibility with the position they hold reaching the 82.54% satisfaction rating, which also took the index satisfaction below the 85% target.
