ABSTRACT

This study aims to find an equation model capable of estimating the registration from 6th to 9th grade of elementary school in the municipal Governador Newton Bello-Ma for the next five years. For this, it uses as a study object Linear Regression, in particular the methods of least squares, abordador subject in Statistics. The paper also proposes to determine the amount of teachers needed for the estimated enrollment of care and forecasting the need for physical space for the accommodation of said registration. For the research, adopts the period from 2005 to 2014 census form, using the total number of students enrolled in the mentioned period. This study is also a short approach to the Linear Regression in their basic and conceptual aspects, also makes references to the organization and reform of elementary education.
