1. What moments throughout the day can you seize and build friendship with Jesus through prayer?

2. What practical things can you use to remind yourself—until the habit is established—to check in with Jesus more often?

3. What kind of things do you talk about when you catch up with your best friend? Do you think Jesus desires to have a friendship like that with you? How would you describe your current friendship with him?

Ask God how he feels about the topics you are praying for. He wants to communicate with us.

We can pray according to God’s will when:

1. We ask how he feels.

2. We listen until we understand.

When he shares his perspective with us, it ignites a passion in our hearts to see his desires become reality.

Prayer is not merely petitioning God for things. Prayer is an opportunity to align our hearts with God’s thoughts and emotions.
